1985 Honda VF1000R Interceptor Unregistered Jap Import Running Restoration Project

This well-respected and much sought after 1985 VF1000R Interceptor has recently been imported from Japan where its spent all of its life.
As you can see the bike has a few parts missing, lower front fairing panels being the most obvious.
We also noted that the previous owner has sadly drilled into the side panels to, we assume, to allow access to the battery terminal on the RH side.
There are a few marks in the otherwise bright paintwork and the seat cover is slightly worn.
The wheels look straight with clean rims.
Headlight, tailight and indicators all look good.
Instruments look ok and switches move freely.
Forks look straight with bright chrome.
The tank is clean inside and feels solid.
Exhausts feel solid and are bright.
Mudguards are straight and solid.
When we hooked it up to a good battery and fed it some fresh fuel we had it firing/ running and revving. It will require a new battery.
