1990 Yamaha RT180A Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project
This 1990 Yamaha RT180A has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded, a few bits non-standard & a few bits are very nice indeed. Sadly both wheels are buckled and the bike is fitted with an incorrect kick start.
The rear brake works. The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome. . The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. Both mud guards are solid. The exhaust is solid. The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running & revving on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
We are selling this bike as a trade clearance project so make us and offer and get started.
