1981 Suzuki GSX750E Unregistered US Import Classic Running Restoration Project
This Tax & MOT exempt 1981 Suzuki GSX750E has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 19437 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Ignition key & mirrors being the most obvious. It has stood a while, so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres are perished and master cylinders are not working.
This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from 42 years ago & it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A great find!
The wheels look straight with nice clean alloy. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid. Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & cowl. Instruments & switches look good. Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank sounds clean inside when taped with a knuckle. Exhausts are original & solid. Seat is in good condition throughout. Indicators are tidy. Chain guard is tidy as is the grab rail.
The engine is cosmetically clean, BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery, bypassed the ignition & fed it fresh fuel, it fires, starts, runs & revs.
