1979 Suzuki GS750L Unregistered US Import Classic Running Restoration Project
This tax and mot exempt 1979 Suzuki GS750L factory custom American sportster has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – mirrors being the most obvious. The paint is non-standard and ropey, there are a few dents in the silencers and a dent in the right hand side of the tank.
The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy. The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl but the lens is cracked. Instruments and switches look ok. The carburettors are free sliding but the throttle is quite stiff. The seat base is in good condition throughout. The indicators are tidy. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are straight and bright. The standard exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean. BUT BEST OF ALL when we fed fresh fuel through the carbs and hooked it up to a good battery we had it firing/running & revving but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
