1978 Suzuki GS1000EC Unregistered US Import Classic Restoration Project
This big old, tax and MOT exempt, 1978 Suzuki GS1000EC has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – battery, light toggle off the LH switch hub and rear indicators being the most obvious. There are a few parts non-standard including the handlebars, clamps and air filters. We also noted that the clutch lever has snapped, the RH silencer has a hole in it and the key doesn't fit the tank lock.
The engine is cosmetically clean. BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a boost battery and fed the carb some fresh fuel we had it firing/running & revving.
