1977 Honda GL1000 Unregistered US Import Classic Running Restoration Project
This Fine looking Tax & MOT exempt 1977 Honda GL1000 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from 46 years ago & it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A true time warp machine! The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy. The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl. Instruments and switches look ok. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The fuel tank looks useably clean inside. The non-standard seat looks tidy. The indicators are tidy. Both mud guards are solid and bright. The standard exhaust is solid and very clean. The engine is cosmetically clean.
BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery and fed fresh fuel through the carb we had it firing/running & revving.
