1972 Yamaha CT2 175 Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project
This well-respected and much sought after 1972 Yamaha CT1 175 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts non-standard, the odometer is mishapen, there is a small dent in the tank and a small dent in the RH fork above the bottom yoke.

The wheels are straight with clean chrome rims and working brakes. The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl. Instruments look ok and switches move freely. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The althought bright has some marks throughout. The fuel tank looks useably clean inside. The seat base is solid but has some surface rust. The indicators are tidy. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are staright and solid. The standard exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean. BUT BEST OF ALL when we fed some fresh fuel though the carb we had it firing/running & revving but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
