1974 Honda CL200 Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project
This uncommon little 1974 Honda CL200 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing –mirrors and battery being the most obvious. We also noted that both side panels are broken, the seat cover is torn, the end can is non-standard and the raer mudguard has a small defformity.
The wheels are straight but have a few rust spots, good hubs and working brakes. The forks and yokes look straight and gators are bright and intact. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl. Instruments and switches look ok. The paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank looks an easy clean-up. The seat base is in good condition throughout. The indicators are tidy. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards bright but the rear is slightly mishapen. The exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
