This well-respected, Tax & MOT exempt 1977 Honda CB550F has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life.

We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Silencer, r/h side panel & airbox being the most obvious.

It has stood a while, so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres & seat cover are perished, tank is mucky inside & spokes are rusty.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.

The wheels look straight with clean chrome rims, good hubs & brake plate, disc, caliper & working master cylinder.

Forks & yokes look straight.

Mudguards are both solid.

Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers.

Instruments & switches look good but speedo base has taken a knock.

Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.

Exhausts header pipes are original & solid.

Seat base is in very good condition throughout – Sadly, it is not off this model & doesn’t fit.

Indicators are tidy.

Chain guard is tidy.

The engine is cosmetically clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression,

BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel, gave it a few prods it fires, starts, runs & revs but it is obvious the carbs need attention.

e.g. if you live 40 miles away it will cost £80.

National deliveries start at £195 inc for a standard size motorcycle to most mainland destinations –

Larger bikes or destinations in Scotland, Cornwall or within the M25 area will cost more.
