1976 Honda CB550K Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project
This Sought after 1976 Honda CB550K has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Side panels, front indicators, rear brake linkage and ignition and key. It has obviously stood for a while so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded and scratched, tank is dented, front mudguard dented, forks rusty, tyres are perished, seat cover is torn, back light broken, some rust on the clocks, one of the front forks rubbers has split and brake master cylinder isnt working.
The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome, good discs, calipers. The forks and yokes look straight. The headlight and bowl and Instruments and switches look ok. The carburettors are sliding off the twist grip. The paintwork is slightly faded but solid. The seat base is in good condition throughout. The rear indicators are tidy. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are solid front dented. The standard exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean, it kicks over but has no coils and the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
