1971 Honda CB100K1 Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project
This little Tax and MOT exempt 1971 Honda CB100K1 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing –RH mirror, side panels and indicators being the most obvious. We also noted that the headlight bowl is cracked/broken.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS......... The wheels are straight but there is some rust on the chrome rims. The forks and yokes look straight but shrouds are dented. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight lens and rim. Instruments look ok and switches move freely. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The paintwork is slightly fadedwith marks, the fuel tank is useably clean inside. The seat base is solid. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are straight and bright but they are slightly dented. The standard exhaust is solid but badly dented.
The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it turning over but it doesn't have any coils no we haven't had it running.
