1947 Indian Big Chief UK Registered US Import Running Classic Project
This rare and iconic 1947 Indian Big Chief was imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. It was registered in the UK in 2015.
As you can see this bike appears to be complete and is in very good condition bar a few stone chips in the paint.
The wheels are straight and clean. The forks and yokes look straight. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl. Instruments and switches look ok. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. The seat base is in good condition throughout. Both mud guards are straight and solid. The exhaust is solid and bright. The engine is cosmetically clean.
BUT BEST OF ALL it fires, starts, runs and revs on it's own fuel!
