This very much sought after 1989 Yamaha TZR250 3MA has recently been imported from Japan where it has spent all its life. It has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years which has helped maintain its boyish good looks.
We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.
The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Several screws from the front fairing and the chainguard being the most obvious. We also noticed the L/H mirror casing is starting to split and there is the tiniest of dents at the top left hand side of the tank.
BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS......... The wheels are straight if a bit mismatched in colour, good discs, calipers and working brakes. The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome. The tail light assy and headlight are good. Instruments and switches look ok. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The paintwork is slightly faded but solid. The seat is in good condition throughout. The indicators are tidy. Mud guard is solid. The exhaust is solid. The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running & revving after feeding it fresh fuel from an auxillery tank. We did notice that the carbs do leak however so will need work.
